OF LASER THERAPY
Laser therapy offers a safe, natural approach to healing by working with your body's repair processes. Here's what it can do for you:
Relieves Pain
Red light therapy (also called low-level laser therapy or photobiomodulation) uses red and near-infrared (NIR) light wavelengths to penetrate deep into the skin and tissues. Unlike heat therapy, which mainly warms the surface, red light reaches the cells and stimulates energy production in the mitochondria. This cellular boost improves blood flow and reduces oxidative stress, allowing your body to relieve pain naturally.
Reduces Inflammation
By improving blood flow and supporting cellular repair, laser therapy helps calm inflammation and reduces swelling in joints and muscles throughout the body.
Speeds Up Healing
Whether you're recovering from surgery, an injury, or dealing with a chronic condition, laser therapy helps your body heal faster by boosting cellular energy production—making it ideal for athletes and anyone with injuries looking to accelerate their recovery.
Improves Circulation
Better blood flow means more oxygen and nutrients reach the areas that need healing—and waste products are removed more efficiently.
Promotes Tissue Repair
Laser therapy stimulates collagen production and cellular regeneration, which helps repair damaged tissue, reduce scars, and improve skin health.
Supports Long-Term Wellness
Many people dealing with chronic conditions see meaningful improvement in pain, mobility, and flexibility with regular sessions. Laser therapy eases stiffness in muscles and connective tissue, ultimately enhancing overall quality of life.

How Laser Therapy Works
When the laser is applied to your skin, therapeutic light energy penetrates deep into your tissues—reaching muscles, joints, and even bones. This energy is absorbed by your cells, where it triggers a natural healing response.
Here's what's happening at the cellular level:
- Enhanced Vascular Health – Improved blood flow delivers more oxygen and nutrients to damaged areas.
- Decreased Swelling and Inflammation – Reduces fluid buildup and calms irritated tissue.
- Enhanced Collagen Production – Supports tissue repair and wound healing.
- Enhanced Muscle Repair and Regeneration – Speeds recovery from strains and injuries.
- Enhanced Nerve Regeneration – Helps restore nerve function and reduce neuropathy.
- Enhanced Cartilage Production – Supports joint health and reduces arthritis symptoms.
- Enhanced Bone Growth and Healing – Accelerates recovery from fractures and surgery.
The result? Less pain, reduced inflammation, and faster healing.
How are treatments administered?
A handheld wand is positioned directly on, or slightly above, the skin over the affected area, where it delivers a gentle therapeutic beam.
How long does a treatment take?
Depending on the condition, treatment times typically last only 5-10 minutes, but larger body areas may require slightly longer.
Does the treatment hurt?
No! Most patients experience a warm, often soothing sensation during treatment.
Is laser therapy safe?
Yes. Laser therapy is FDA-cleared and has been used safely in clinical settings for decades. The treatment is gentle, noninvasive, and well-tolerated by most patients. The most common sensation people report is a warm, soothing feeling during treatment. Serious side effects are extremely rare. As with any therapeutic treatment, we'll review your full health history during your consultation to ensure it's appropriate for your specific situation.
What should I expect during my first visit?
Your first visit starts with a conversation. Christa will ask about your health history, what you're experiencing, and what you're hoping to achieve. Then she'll explain how laser therapy can help your specific situation and answer any questions you have. If you decide to move forward, your first treatment can often happen that same day. Sessions are quick, comfortable, and you can return to your normal activities immediately afterward.
Who will administer my treatment?
All treatments are administered by Christa, the founder and owner of Restorative Laser Therapy. Christa is a registered nurse with years of experience in patient care and wellness. She's specially trained and certified in laser therapy and is passionate about helping people heal naturally and feel their best. Her approach is warm, knowledgeable, and focused on truly understanding what you're dealing with so she can create a treatment plan that works for you. Learn More About Christa.
How many treatments will I need?
Most ACUTE conditions typically require only 5-6 treatments. Chronic conditions generally take longer and may require 6-12 treatments as well as one or two follow-up treatments each month.
How soon will I feel results?
It depends on your condition. Some people feel relief after their very first session, while others notice gradual improvement over a few treatments. Acute issues (like a recent injury or post-surgery recovery) often respond quickly, while chronic conditions may take a bit longer to see lasting change. Your progress will be tracked and your treatment plan adjusted as needed.
What conditions can laser therapy treat?
Laser therapy can help with a wide range of issues, including chronic pain, arthritis, fibromyalgia, sciatica, tendonitis, carpal tunnel, TMJ, sports injuries, post-surgical recovery, neuropathy, inflammation, wound healing, and more. If you're not sure whether it's right for your specific situation, feel free to reach out with questions.
How does the science work? What's actually happening in my body?
Laser therapy uses specific wavelengths of light energy that penetrate deep into your tissues. Your cells absorb this energy and use it to produce more ATP (the fuel your cells need to function). This boost in cellular energy helps reduce inflammation, increase circulation, speed up tissue repair, and relieve pain naturally. The process is called Photobiomodulation (PBMT), and it's been studied extensively and proven effective.
Is laser therapy FDA-approved?
Yes! The Aspen Laser system used at Restorative Laser Therapy is FDA-cleared for pain relief and inflammation reduction. It's a trusted, clinically-proven technology used by healthcare providers nationwide.
What if I'm not sure laser therapy is right for me?
That's completely understandable! Free consultations are available so you can learn more, ask questions, and get a feel for whether this is something you want to try—no pressure, no commitment. Sometimes just having a conversation can help you decide.
